IBAN is a number for worldwide use of your current account. IBAN replaces the use of a combined account number and bank code number.

Money transfers to foreign countries used to be quite expensive. Meanwhile all banks offer EU standard money transfers for the price of domestic money transfers. A valid IBAN number is one thing you need to place an EU standard money transfer.

Everybody who sends money to foreign (European) countries or receives money from any of these countries needs the IBAN-Calculator.

The IBAN-Calculator works strictly according to the rules and regulations of the ECBS (European Committee for Banking Standards). Of course, IBAN-Calculator can only work precise if the user provides the exact data. An IBAN must not necessarily be conclusive. I particularly emphasize that the legally binding assignment of the IBAN is only possible at the bank where the account is held. I accept no liability for invalid IBANs.
